Early Life: Hunt’s father Lamar Hunt was an American sports businessman particularly known for promoting American football. Entrepreneurship runs in his blood as he’s the grandson of Texas oil tycoon H.L. Hunt.

Education: Hunt experienced his high school years at the St. Mark’s School of Texas, and moving on he was a captain of SMU’s at Southern Methodist University in 1987, where he finished as a two-time Academic All-American.

In his academic run, he acquired a degree in Business Administration with a fixation in Finance and was a two-time recipient of the highest academic honor “Provost Award for Outstanding Scholar” of the university.

In 2005, Hunt became the chairman of the Kansas City Chiefs and after passing of his dad in 2006 his siblings acquired responsibility inheriting ownership of the Chiefs as well.

On Nov 23, 2008, Columbus Crew won their first MLS Cup title and on Jan 13, 2009, Hunt procured ‘Scott Pioli’ as the new Chiefs general manager and hired ‘Todd Haley’ as the replacement of Edwards on 6th Feb 2009.

Later, Hunt fired Todd Haley during the 2011 NFL season and replaced him by interim coach ‘Romeo Crennel’, he brought the team a win over the undefeated Super Bowl Champions at the 2011 Green Bay Packers season.

Hunt named Crennel the team’s permanent head coach on January 9, 2012, but due to the team’s bad performances, Hunt hired ‘Andy Reid’ to be the next head coach On January 4, 2013.
